Numbers and number portability — the foundation of VoIP telephony

Every phone service needs a number. BudgeTalk provides geographic and nomadic numbers from its own number ranges registered with the NMHH, so we issue numbers directly — not as a reseller.

Our number ranges

• Geographic (landline) numbers — +36 1 300 4000–4999, +36 1 300 5000–5999 and further ranges
• Nomadic numbers — +36 21 300 2000–2999, nationwide, location-independent
• Freephone numbers — +36 80 800 000–999

Number monthly fee: 800 HUF/number (for domestic landline and nomadic numbers). We have no mobile number ranges, as we are not a mobile operator — we focus on business voice services.

Number portability — keep your phone number

Number portability lets you keep your existing number when switching providers. Under current Hungarian rules the process is completed within two days; the porting request must be submitted to the new (receiving) provider. The whole process is typically completed within 1–1.5 weeks.

International inbound numbers (DID)

With an international inbound number you can get a virtual number from many countries around the world, so your foreign customers can call you at a local rate — yet the call still rings in your office. Ideal for companies that ship to or serve abroad.
